Our vision for the art collection at Chapter London Bridge was to reflect and amplify the vibrant community spirit at the core of Chapter. Curated to spark curiosity, encourage connection, and enhance the dynamic student living experience, the collection draws inspiration from the rich cultural fabric of the surrounding area. From the historic energy of Borough Market and London’s iconic trading scene to the local textile industry and the broader identity of the city itself, the artworks celebrate what it means to live and learn in London.

The collection highlights the work of numerous local artists and spans a wide range of styles, from playful posters and graphic prints to large-scale abstract paintings, capturing the eclectic, creative spirit of the neighbourhood and bringing it into every corner of the building.

Artwork highlight
- 3 bespoke hand stitched embroidery artworks by London artist Holly Allan in the reception area. Holly’s work often intertwines natural motifs with architectural elements, celebrating both human creativity, urban renewal and nature’s enduring presence.
- Series of playful prints by Rose England celebrating different London markets
- ‘London City Love Notes’ and ‘London in Autumn’ large scale abstract figurative works by Ben Wakeling on the public ground floor
- ‘Made in London’ and ‘Notes on the Underground’ maps by Mychael Barratt in the 37th floor meeting rooms - connecting the space to the expansive views overlooking London
- Local mother and son artist duo Spiller + Cameron for the first floor study lounge - the artworks combine his youthful, contemporary energy to Cameron’s maturity and experience. Spiller + Cameron often “upcycle” discarded paint rags and other materials in their work. Their paintings harness the energy of the materials’ previous use and, like alchemy, transmute a base product into something worthy of contemplation.
- Borough Market prints by Lucy Caster in the cafe entrance
- A selection of Kelly Anna prints for the gym - celebrating the London Olympics and women in sports.
